[yt-users] Create combined plot from two distinct datasets

Dear yt users,

I would like to ask whether there is a provided way to plot different
datasets in a single e.g. slice plot. I want to compare two different
numerical schemes that give noticeably different results. As the solution
is symmetric, a direct comparison in the same picture seems obvious.

Dataset 1:

Dataset 2:

Desired output (obtained using an image editor):

I know that I could use FixedResolutionBuffer, but by doing it like this I
think I'd loose most of plot modification possibilities I want to use. The
datasets contain FLASH AMR data (Cartesian, non-uniform grid).
