[yt-users] tracking the masses

Dear all,

what I would like to do is tracking bound/lost/unbound quantities. For instance, I would like to be able to plot as a function of time:
    - the total mass in the grid
    - the mass lost by the grid
    - the bound mass in the grid
    - the unbound mass in the grid

Is there a way to get these quantities with the output files only, or do I have to track them during the simulation - which will be bad news  :-)  ?
