[Yt-dev] Configuration reorg call for testing

Okay, thanks Stephen!  If I can convince myself it's pretty stable and
workable I'll push it soon.  If anybody else with complex .yt/config
files can test it, that'd be rad, but I suspect it will end up being
simply fine.
