[yt-users] read user defined scalar in FLASH dataset

Is it possible to use yt to read some user-defined scalar in FLASH dataset? Here is the way I adopted to output scalar into FLASH data: http://flash.uchicago.edu/site/flashcode/user_support/flash4_ug_4p4/node69.html
