[yt-users] Mapping particle data to grid (what algorithm is used?)

Hi,

just a quick question, I couldn't find the answer to:

How does yt's ProjectionPlot() map particle data to a grid?

Does it use a simple cloud in cell or something more complicated like
gradient interpolation on a Voronoi mesh?
