[yt-users] volume rendering question

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if it's possible to do volume renderings of data that
can't be directly read into yt yet as part of a dataset (i.e. using
"load") - for example, the radiation intensity in a Ramses-RT simulation. 
If I have a ascii file with a 3d array of this field (either fixed
resolution or AMR), will I be able to simply use that as the data source,
or would I need to do something to it first?
