[yt-users] temperatures ticks in projection plot

Hi all,
I'm plotting a standard 3x2 panels plot with density, temperature and
vorticity.
For temperature I'm using a non-Log scale in a range of 300 and 1000 K, but
the tick numbers on the bar are too close.
I would like to set a range of ticks, say 300, 500, 800, 1000 to have a
more readable colorbar.
I tried to use matplotlib.ticker.MultipleLocator but maybe I'm doing
something wrong.

Do you have any suggestion?
