Now I'm confused so let me be more specific. In the function 
_join_halolists(self), defined at line 1346 in r1797 (there are two versions of 
this function in the file):

I'm looking for the two lines at 1361-1362 in this function I quoted before. Can 
you compare your version of that function on Ranger to the one on the webpage? 
If you are indeed on r1797 you should have those lines, but if you don't, that 
would definitely explain your problem. Does 'svn diff' show anything relevant?
