New issue 285: Write out simulation data
https://bitbucket.org/yt_analysis/yt/issue/285/write-out-simulation-data

Matthew Turk / MatthewTurk on Fri, 10 Jun 2011 20:04:30 +0200:

Description:
yt should be able to write out simulation data, to a limited extent. First this could be implemented through a code-specific writer; this could then be expanded to work with several backends. MUSIC could be a good resource for this.

The first implementation should be Enzo, as it is the most familiar to the developers. This could be done in a couple ways: constructing Enzo grid objects in memory and calling Enzo routines, or simply mocking up the structure and writing it out.

This would allow conversion between data formats as well as construction of data in yt (using Stream) and writing this out.
