This bug appears to be similar to Issue #766, but it is occurring for me on the tip of yt-3.0 (changeset 7a08af110b44) with yt installed from the install_script.  When I try to import AbsorptionSpectrum with this line:

`from yt.analysis_modules.api import AbsorptionSpectrum`

yt fails and raises this error:

Perhaps this is related to all of the stuff @jzuhone is doing with the FITS frontend?  Maybe it's fixed in his open PR, but I have not yet tested this.
