The problem appears to be entirely in my setup. If you have a complex
bashrc/profile/whateverrc you might consider moving it out of the way
before attempting to install the raft. According to the main femhub
guy (Ondrej), this is a SAGE bug, which he is pursuing with their
team. Once my bashrc is moved aside, raft works for me too.

Again, setup aside, this builds perfectly. I've played with the
notebook, and I can say with some certainty that this is a powerful
tool, especially for working remotely. Being able to connect to a
webnotebook via ssh port tunneling is awesome.

I would emphasize that if you have any problems installing the raft, I
would move any shell config files aside and try again. This seems to
solve every problem I've had.
