Well, they only have one employee working on EPD, as of the last time
I talked to the Enthought guys.  The components are already packaged
and available (in .deb form) for Ubuntu and Debian.

As a note on EPD/ETS -- ETS itself is the components of the EPD
provided by Enthought; from this, the packages TraitsUI and TVTK are
the two components that seem the most essential.  TraitsUI is
relatively easy to install, and I have considered adding that as an
option to the installer script.  TVTK relies on VTK, which while
simple to build is not easily scriptable.
