Stephen Skory (in collaboration with Chris Moody) has pushed through
the first major improvement to Rockstar.

As I note in my final comment, I think this PR is a good example of
iterative development and collaboration, and I'm really happy with how
it was issued, updated, and how we converged on a solution.  The
